When I accepted this position, transportation was not something that I considered to be a major factor. I naively thought that driving from Moraga to SF would be a breeze every morning. Jeez, I was so wrong. Driving into the city during January was torture. So, it was time to get creative.
Today, Chrissy Cam faced her biggest fear… public transportation. Okay, so it may not be my biggest fear, but it’s up there. However, one of SMC’s many accommodations includes the County Connection Bus that students can ride throughout Lamorinda for free. So, this morning I woke up, and got to the bus stop in front of the school just in time to catch the 7:19 route. From there I hopped on BART, took a Muni, and ta da, I made it to the park without an ounce of driving. One small step for a SF native, one giant leap for this gal.
